WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT TO GRACE
Welcome to Grace
We are glad you stopped by on the “web” in preparation for your visit with us on Sunday Morning.
When you arrive at Grace for our Services you will be greeted by a smiling knowledgeable member who will answer your questions or connect you with someone who will be able to do so.
If you are attending our “Traditional” Worship Service at 7:45 a.m. you will be guided to the Sanctuary toward your left as you entered. This Worship Service is most closely tied to The Divine Service, Setting Two in Lutheran Worship. The Music is from the older Lutheran Hymnal and is played on an electronic organ or piano with vocal accompaniment by members of our Music Ministry.
If you are attending our “Contemporary” Worship Service at 9:15 you will be referred to the Sanctuary which some have nicknamed “The Dome” which will be to your left.
Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
THEY DO THIS WELL and with some volume. (if you do not like Drums, Electric Guitars and other instruments, you may not prefer this style).
There is a song during the offertory and during Holy Communion there are several.
For Holy Communion we use individual disposable cups. “The small cups around the outside of the tray contain wine and the cups in the center contain white grape juice.”
Who may receive Holy Communion with us?
We invite all baptized and instructed believers, who share the confession of our LCMS family of faith to come forward and receive the Lord’s Supper. If you are a visitor , please speak to the pastor before communing.
For Parents, if your child has not received First Communion or Confirmation, you may bring them forward for a blessing. Please have them cross their hands in front of them.
We Hope to See You Soon
